On the occasion of actor Sapthami Gowda’s birthday on Sunday, the makers of Thammudu unveiled the first-look poster of her character from the upcoming emotional action drama. Called Ratna, the character is depicted as a grounded village woman, with the poster offering a simple and traditional aesthetic. The team conveyed wishes and noted that her role is expected to be central to the film’s narrative.

Directed by Venu Sriram and starring Nithiin in the lead, Thammudu was earlier scheduled to release on July 4. However, the release has now been postponed, and a new date is yet to be announced. The film also features Laya, Swasika Vijay, Varsha Bollamma, and Saurabh Sachdeva in supporting roles.

Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, Thammudu features music by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by KV Guhan. A previously released teaser, “Mood of Thammudu,” offered a glimpse into the film’s tone and characters, including Nithiin’s role as an athele archer was briefly featured in the final shot.

Director Venu Sriram, known for films like MCA and Vakeel Saab, reunites with the production house for this project. Nithiin also returns to the banner after earlier collaborations including Dil and Srinivasa Kalyanam. The film’s title takes inspiration from the 1999 Pawan Kalyan starrer Thammudu.
