Kartik Aaryan dropped from Aanand L Rai’s film? Makers issues statement

Contrary to some reports, Aanand L Rai’s production house has categorically denied dropping Kartik Aaryan from their next film.

A recent report claimed Kartik was in talks for a gangster film by Anand’s Colour Yellow Productions. However, it was speculated that before the signing could go through, the project fell apart. This rumour came on the heels of Kartik's ouster from Dharma Production’s Dostana 2 and another supposed film named Freddie by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. It also claimed Colour Yellow Productions has now approached Ayushmann Khurrana for their gangster film.

"These are baseless rumours," the banner’s spokesperson said in a statement. “We’ve met Kartik for a different film and we’re still talking. We’ve taken another film altogether to Ayushmann and this is a complete mix up.”

Kartik’s next release is Dhamaka on Netflix. He’s also the lead in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Meanwhile, in March, Aanand wrapped up his new directorial Atrangi Re, a love story led by Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan.
