We had earlier reported that Vijay was set to work in filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally's next. In a recent media interaction, the Maharshi director confirmed this development.

Set to be bankrolled by Dil Raju, it is expected that the Tamil-Telugu bilingual would go on floors after Thalapathy 65.  This will be Raju's fifth collaboration with Vamshi after Munna, BrindhavanamYevadu and Maharshi.

Considering the news is out, an official announcement with details about the rest of the cast and crew is expected to be out soon. In fact, Vamsi added that the film would have been announced earlier if not for the second wave.

Apart from the Vamshi project, it is also rumoured that Vijay would reunite with his Master filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is currently working on Kamal Haasan's Vikram.

Meanwhile, Vijay is currently working on Thalapathy 65, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
