Director Venkat Prabhu has announced his next project, after Maanaadu starring Silambarasan TR. Apart from directing the film, he will also be producing it along with Rockfort Entertainment.

He has confirmed that the film will be shot on a fast track. The film is speculated to be a comedy entertainer with Ashok Selvan playing the lead. The yet-to-be-titled project is also expected to have multiple heroines and music scored by Premgi Amaren. 

Venkat Prabhu, who has almost finished the shooting of Maanaadu has post-production works of the film pending. Earlier this year, he directed a segment in the anthology Kutty Story and Kajal Aggarwal starring Dinsey +Hotstar web series Live Telecast. 

On the production front, he has the long-delayed anthology, Kasada Thapara, directed by Chimbu Devan.
