The production of the sixth and final season of the hit Netflix show Peaky Blinders has been wrapped on Thursday. Anthony Byrne, the show's director took to Instagram to share the news. Sharing a picture, where he can be seen holding a clapboard alongside Jon Midlane, the first assistant director, and Mathieu Plainfosse, the cinematographer, Byrne wrote, "Done & Done & Done."

The show, which began filming in January, had to temporarily halt production in March due to the pandemic situation, and suffered another setback when actor Helen McCrory, who essayed the character of Polly, passed away in April. It remains unclear whether McCrory shot for the season before her demise. Interestingly, the clapboard Byrne is holding in the picture has a portrait of McCrory's character imprinted on it.

Peaky Blinders stars Cillian Murphy, Sam Neill, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Annabelle Wallis, and Sophie Rundle, among others.

The final season is expected to drop on the streaming platform in early 2022.
