Dulquer Salmaan will star in an upcoming psychological thriller directed by R Balki. The announcement was made by cinematographer PC Sreeram in a tweet. 

“My next project with Balki will have Dulquer Salman. It's a psychological thriller. Eagerly waiting to start work,” he wrote on Tuesday.

Dulquer made his Bollywood debut in 2018 with Karwaan. The road-comedy film also starred Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. 

Dulquer also appeared in The Zoya Factor (2019), co-starring Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. He played the role of Nikhil Khoda, a fictitious captain of the Indian cricket team. 

R Balki hasn’t directed a feature film since 2018’s Pad Man. He was a co-producer and writer on Mission Mangal (2019). He has collaborated with P. C. Sreeram on his past films Cheeni Kum, Ki & Ka and Pad Man.
