Salaar, one of the most expected films across the nation, has been in the news since its announcement. The latest speculations surrounding the Prabhas-starrer, directed by KGF-filmmaker Prashanth Neel, pointed towards Jyotika being roped in for the film. Rumours suggested that she would be playing Prabhas' sister in the film. However, a source close to the film dismissed such rumours. 

Another rumour doing the rounds was about Priyanka Upendra being part of the film too. However, this speculation was also put to rest from a credible source close to the film. 

Meanwhile, what we know about the film is that Shruti Haasan is starring opposite the Bahubali actor in this action entertainer. 

Backed by Hombale Films, which also produced Prashanth's KGF series, the multilingual film features Madhu Guruswamy as the antagonist. The film is scheduled for release on April 14, 2022.
