We had previously reported that director Shankar will be working on a pan-Indian film starring Ram Charan in the lead. If reports are to be believed, the team has planned on approaching Alia Bhatt to play the female lead in the yet-to-be-titled film.

Sources state that Ram Charan was impressed with Alia's performance in their upcoming film RRR and has hence recommended her name to Shankar who was keen on roping in a Bollywood actor as the female lead. An official confirmation on this is expected soon.

Bankrolled by Telugu producers Dil Raju and Shirish under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the film will be out in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. This untitled project will be Ram Charan's 15th film and Sri Venkateswara Creations' 50th project.

Meanwhile, Shankar is yet to complete Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan and also has the Hindi remake of Anniyan with Ranveer Singh in various stages of production.
