After teaming up on Satyadev's action entertainer Lion (2015), Balakrishna and Trisha are all set to reunite for Gopichand Malineni's upcoming film.

"Gopichand has approached Trisha and she has agreed to allocate bulk dates for the film. She is yet to sign the dotted line, but if everything falls in place, this film will mark her return to Telugu cinema after five years," says a source.

The details of her character are still under wraps. "The makers will make an announcement on her inclusion in the film after the on-ground scenario gets back to normal," reveals the source.

Based on true incidents, the film is billed as a cop drama and will feature Balakrishna as a powerful police officer. "Gopichand recently returned from Vetapalem after gathering credible information from a century-old library. The research for the film is in a crucial stage and the final draft will be ready by June," the source adds.

Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, the yet-to-be-titled film will start rolling in the second half of this year, soon after Balakrishna wraps up Akhanda.
