Veteran actor-turned-politician Vijayakanth has been admitted to a private hospital after he complained of breathing issues. He was taken to the hospital in the early hours of Wednesday. 

The founder of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), who recovered from a bout of coronavirus last year, has been undergoing treatment for many health ailments for years now. We will know more about his treatment when the hospital releases an official statement.
