Jayam Ravi and Ahmed to team up once again

CE Features

We had previously reported that Jayam Ravi is teaming up with director I Ahmed for a film titled Jana Gana Mana. It's now known that the duo will collaborate on another project before the completion of their first film.

According to sources, a portion of Jana Gana Mana has to be shot abroad, which is unfeasible given the current pandemic-induced restrictions. The team has therefore decided to postpone that schedule. Meanwhile, the producers Home Movie Makers, happy with the progress the team has made so far, have reportedly greenlit another project with Jayam Ravi and Ahmed.

It's said that this new film will be a quick project shot completely in India. The makers are planning on wrapping it up before commencing the foreign schedule of Jana Gana Mana. An official confirmation is expected soon.

With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Jana Gana Mana is a spy thriller also starring Taapsee, Dayana Erappa, Arjun, Rahman, MS Bhaskar, and Sacred Games-fame Elnaaz Norouzi. Portions of the film were shot in Azerbaijan before the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi is also part of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, and has a film each with Irumbuthirai co-writer Anthony Bhagyaraj and Bhoologam-director Kalyan.
