Vidya Balan's Sherni to premiere on Amazon Prime Video

Vidya Balan's next, Sherni, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, the makers of the film officially announced. Produced by T Series Films in association with Abundantia Entertainment, Sherni is directed by Amit Masurkar, best-known for helming Newton, India's official entry to the Oscars in 2017.

Vidya, whose last release Shakuntala Devi also premiered on Amazon Prime Video, is playing an upright forest officer who strives for balance in a world of man-animal conflict in Sherni. Sharing the film's first look on Twitter, the Kahaani-actor wrote, "Fearless as she steps out into the world! Happy to announce my latest film Sherni."

The film also features a brigade of seasoned Bollywood actors including Sharad Saxena, Mukul Chaddha, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala, and Neeraj Kabi.

Sherni will be out on Amazon Prime Video in June, and the release date is expected to be announced shortly.
