Rajinikanth donates Rs 50 lakhs to CM COVID-19 relief fund

Rajinikanth's daughter, Soundaraya Rajinikanth had previously donated Rs 1 crore rupees to CM fund

Superstar Rajinikanth has donated a sum of Rs 50 lakhs to Tamil Nadu CM's COVID-19 relief fund. The money will be used for the welfare of those affected by the coronavirus.  

It may be noted that Rajinikanth's daughter, Soundaraya Rajinikanth had earlier donated Rs 1 crore rupees to the CM's fund, on behalf of her husband Vishagan Vanangamudi's pharmaceutical company Apex Laboratories Pvt Ltd.

Actors Suriya, Karthi and Sivakumar contributed Rs 1 crore together for the relief fund. Following that, Ajith and Sivakarthikeyan donated a sum of Rs 25 lakhs each and filmmakers Vetri Maaran and AR Murugadoss donated Rs 10 lakhs and Rs 25 Lakhs, respectively, to the CM relief fund. 

On the work front, Rajinikanth recently completed his portions for the upcoming Siva directorial Annaatthe, co-starring Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khushboo and Meena.
