Cyclone Tauktae: Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol, Kartik Aaryan urge fans to stay indoors

With cyclone Tauktae bearing down on the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Kerala and others, several Bollywood celebrities have tweeted to their fans to keep safe.

“To all the people living in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka & Tamil Nadu, #StayIndoors & #StaySafe,” Kajol tweeted.

Yami Gautam wrote that unless critical, everyone should stay indoors. “Unless critical, requesting you all to stay indoors and ensure safety of your loved ones. Take care, follow advisories and stay calm. #cyclonetauktae."

Amitach Bachchan tweeted on Sunday: “T 3905 - The effects of the #CycloneTauktae have begun .. rains in Mumbai .. please be safe and protected .. prayers as ever.”

Kriti Kharbanda urged fans to look after stray animals during the cyclone. “Guys, let’s avoid stepping out until and unless it is extremely urgent. Please take care. I urge you all to give shelter to the stray cats and dogs in your are,” she wrote.

Fatima Sana Shaikh posted a video from her window and wrote, “I hope and pray that everyone is safe and that this cyclone #tauktae doesn't cause serious damage. Stay safe guys.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a post by BMC with a "Ghar Pe Raho (stay at home)."

Kartik Aaryan, meanwhile, posted a windswept picture from his younger days. “Tauktae. One more reason to stay inside,” he wrote.
