Following Suriya and Karthi's donation to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund (CMPRF), to aid COVID related relief works, actor Ajith,and directors AR Murugadoss and Soundarya Rajinikanth, have all contributed to the fund. 

While Ajith donated a sum of Rs 25 lakhs, Rajinikanth's daughter and filmmaker Soundaraya Rajinikanth donated Rs 1 crore rupees each. The latter has donated on behalf of her husband Vishagan Vanangamudi's pharmaceutical company Apex Laboratories Pvt Ltd. AR Murugadoss has donated Rs 25 lakh to the CM relief fund. 

Earlier, Sivakumar, Suriya and Karthi together donated Rs 1 crore to TN CM’s relief funds. 

It may be noted that, in April last year, actor Ajith donated Rs 1.25 crore to PM Cares Fund and Rs 50 lakh to TN Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He also donated Rs 25 lakh to the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI).
