Allu Arjun recovers from COVID-19; hopes lockdown reduces the number of cases

We had earlier reported that Allu Arjun had tested positive for the coronavirus. Two weeks later, the actor has taken to social media to announce that he has now tested negative. 

In a statement on his social media pages, Allu Arjun said, "Hello everyone! I have tested negative after 15 days of quarantine. I want to thank all my well-wishers and fans for their wishes and prayers. Hoping this lockdown will help us in reducing the cases. Be home and be safe. Thank you for all the love." 

Following this update, a lot of celebrities and fans took to social media to wish him better health. 

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has Sukumar's upcoming film, Pushpa, in the works. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is set in the backdrop of the Seshachalam forest and revolves around red sanders smuggling. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Anasuya Bhardwaj. 

He also has director Sriram Venu's Icon and Koratala Siva's untitled film in the pipeline.
