Prabhas to play a double role in Salaar?

Ramya Krishnan, who last worked with Prabhas in the Baahubali franchise, is rumoured to play his elder sister in the film

Actor Prabhas has multiple pan-Indian films in his line-up and the Prashant Neel-directorial Salaar is one of these. Buzz has it that Prabhas may be seen in a double role in the film. It will the second dual role in his career.

The Baahubali actor is likely to play both a father and his son in Salaar, which features Shruti Haasan as the female lead. The first look of Salaar, featuring Prabhas sporting a handlebar mustache, with his left hand on an assault rifle, was unveiled by the makers last year. 

The team of Salaar recently suspended the film's shooting due to rising COVID-19 cases and it is speculated that the new schedule of the film will resume shortly in Hyderabad.

Ramya Krishnan, who last worked with Prabhas in the Baahubali franchise, is rumoured to play his elder sister in the film. Speculations are also rife that Salaar is a remake of the Kannada blockbuster Ugramm and the film stars Prabhas as a mechanic.

Shot in Telugu and Kannada, Salaar is bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur and has music by Ravi Basrur. The film is slated for release on April 14, 2022, in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.
