Actor Jr NTR announced today that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and has isolated himself at home. The 37-year-old actor took to Twitter and posted a note informing his followers that he is currently following all the necessary protocols advised by his doctors.

"I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. Please don’t worry, I’m doing absolutely fine. My family and I have isolated ourselves, and we’re following all protocols under the supervision of doctors," tweeted Jr NTR.

He also urged all those who came in contact with him recently to get tested.

NTR is currently shooting for the last leg of SS Rajamouli's upcoming film RRR. The period action drama features him and actor Ram Charan as the younger versions of revolutionary freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju. The film's shooting has been suspended due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.

Up next, NTR is also committed to reuniting with his Janatha Garage director, Koratala Siva, for a pan-Indian film. The untitled film will go on floors in June and is slated for release on April 29, 2022.
