CE Features

The teaser of Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Liger, directed by Puri Jagannadh, which was expected to hit the internet today to coincide with the birthday of the lead actor, has been postponed to an indefinite date on the back of COVID-19 crisis. The producers of the film, Puri Jagannadh's Puri Connects and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, have issued a joint statement explaining their decision to hold back the teaser of the film.

The statement reads, "During these testing times, we hope you all are staying indoors and taking of yourself and your loved ones. We were all geared up to reveal a power-packed teaser for Liger on 9th May. However, due to the current scenario and environment that our country is facing, we have decided to postpone the same in the hope to share it with the world at a better time for us all."

The makers added, "Having said that, we assure and guarantee that you will witness Vijay Devarakonda in a never seen before avatar and you will not be disappointed."

Starring Ananya Pandey as the female lead, Liger is set to mark Vijay Devarakonda's Bollywood debut, post which he is expected to collaborate with filmmaker Sukumar for an untitled film.
