Goa cancels all film, television shoots amid Covid cases spike

The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) has cancelled permissions granted to all film and television shootings due to the COVID-19 situation, reports PTI. 

According to the report, ESG's Vice Chairman Subhash Faldesai said several film and TV productions from Mumbai and Chennai had recently shifted to Goa in wake of the COVID-19 resurgence. 

The chairman told the agency that all shooting grants have now been cancelled till the situation is under control. 

On Wednesday, Goa reported 3,496 new COVID-19 cases and 71 fatalities, taking the tally of infections to 1,04,398 and the death toll to 1,443, as per official data.
