The first track from Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele, starring Zareen Khan and Anushman Jha, is out. Titled Bullah Ki Jaana, the song is a version of Sufi poet Bulleh Shah’s iconic lyrics. 

Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele tells the story of Veer, a gay man, and Mansi, a lesbian woman, who embark on a road trip. Sung by Adil Rasheed and composed by Oni-Adil, Bullah Ki Jaana showcases the journey of Mansi and Veer. 

Anshuman said the track is meant as a tribute to Bulleh Shah’s famous poem. “While we all love Rabbi's (Shergill) rendition, Bulleh Shah's poem is universal and timeless, and perfectly fits our film on discovering identities," the actor said.

Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele is releasing on Disney+ Hotstar on May 9.
