As we reported earlier, Telugu actor Mahesh Babu will be teaming up with filmmaker Trivikram for his forthcoming film, tentatively titled SSMB 28. The film marks the third collaboration between the actor and filmmaker after Athadu (2005) and Khaleja (2010). Haarika & Hassine Creations, the producers of the film, officially announced the film.

Reportedly, the film will star Pooja Hegde as the female lead, also marking her third collaboration with Trivikram after Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava and Ala Vaikhuntapuramuloo. As announced by the makers, the shooting of SSMB 28 will commence soon and the film is expected to hit screens in the summer of 2022.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is currently shooting for Sarakaru Vaari Paata, directed by Parasuram, which is aiming for a Sankranthi 2022 release.
