Vijay-Nelson's Thalapathy 65 launched

The highly-anticipated Vijay-Nelson project, tentatively referred to as Thalapathy 65, was officially launched today. The film, produced by Sun Pictures, has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead. 

Pooja, who is stuck with the shooting of another film, tweeted her excitement for the project. 

Photos of Vijay from the launch show him sporting a special hairdo for the film. With music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, Thalapathy 65 marks the seventh production venture of Sun Pictures. 

Vijay was last seen in the super hit Master, which hit the screens this Pongal. Director Nelson is awaiting the release of his Doctor, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Mohan and Vinay. The film will be out this Eid. 

Pooja, who is making her comeback to Tamil cinema after Mugamoodi (2012), has films like Radhe Shyam and Most Eligible Bachelor in the pipeline.
