Malayalam actor Aparna Das will be making her Tamil debut with Vijay's upcoming film, Thalapathy 65, which will reportedly also star Bigg Boss Tamil-fame Kavin.

Aparna, who is known for Malayalam films like Njan Prakashan and Manoharam, confirmed her role in the film with an Instagram post. Sharing a photo of the cast and crew taken during the film's pooja, which happened earlier today, Aparna said, "Blessed is the word, to be a part of this mikaperiya padam."

Kavin was also present at today's event. 

According to sources, Thalapathy 65 will go on floors in April. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamavu Kokila fame, the untitled film is bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Starring Pooja Hegde as the female lead, it will have music by Anirudh and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa.
