Shreyas Manju: I loved seeing myself in Vishnu Priya

A Sharadhaa

The trailer of Shreyas Manju's Vishnu Priya was launched today by Puneeth Rajkumar. Sharing Power Star's tweet, Shreyas wrote:

Directed by VK Prakash, Vishnu Priya marks the debut of Malayalam actor Priya Prakash Varrier in Kannada. The trailer gives us a sneak peek into the intense romantic drama set in the 1990s. The film is yet to be censored and the makers are hoping to release the film in June.

Shreyas watched the film at different times and reacted to Vishnu Priya differently each time. “When I saw it during the dubbing, I was not able to figure out the film fully. But I was really excited when I watched the film in the final re-recording stage,” he says.

The one-film-old actor confesses that he generally doesn't like hearing or watching himself on the silver screen. “However, this time, it’s a different feeling. I loved seeing myself. I was hooting and whistling for every scene,” he adds.

Shreyas says love and intensity have always been his favourite elements in cinema. “I feel these elements need to be included, regardless of the genre, and such films are the ones I want to be part of.”

Bankrolled by K Manju Cinemas, Vishnu Priya has music by Gopi Sundar and cinematography by Vinod Bharati.
