Kangana Ranaut has stated that southern film industries are more inclusive to the outsider compared to Bollywood. "In southern film industries, there might be nepotism, but there's no groupism, or bitching. They're very inclusive about people who come in. I'm here now, and I'm not leaving," she added.

The actor said this during the trailer launch event of her coming film Thalaivi, which was held earlier today in Chennai. Kangana stars as the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa in the biopic.

During her speech, the actor got emotional while speaking about Thalaivi director Vijay. She shared that Vijay is a rare male filmmakerm who understansd his female actors, she also added that he made her feel comfortable on the sets.

The event was also attended by director Vijay, actors Arvind Swami, Samuthirakani, Thambi Ramaiah, music composer GV Prakash Kumar, lyricist Madhan Karky, screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad, and producer Vishnu Vardhan Indhuri.

The team also celebrated Kangana's birthday with a cake-cutting ceremony.

Thalaivi marks Kangana's return to Tamil cinema for the first time since Dhaam Dhoom (2008), and the film stars Arvind Swami as MGR, Madhubala as Janaki, Samuthirakani as RM Veerappan, and Poorna as Sasikala.

Meanwhile, in the recently announced 67th National Film Awards, Kangana won her fourth National award for her roles in Manikarnika and Panga.

Thalaivi is slated to hit screens on April 23 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
