CE Features

The life of Mike Tyson is being brought to life in the form of a TV series. Jamie Foxx will be playing the legendary boxer in this biographical series that is set to be helmed by Antoine Fuqua, the director of Training DayThe Equalizer, and Southpaw.

Foxx has previously portrayed real-life characters in Just Mercy and Ray, with his performance in the latter winning him an Oscar. In February, American streaming service Hulu announced a limited series based on Tyson’s life, titled Iron Mike. However, the announcement left Tyson disappointed owing to his lack of involvement in the project.

On the other hand, Tyson expressed pleasure to be involved with Fuqua’s project and released a statement sharing his hopes for the series to accurately reflect his personal life and career. Meanwhile, Academy Award-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese will be serving as one of the executive producers on the series.
