Kartik Aaryan has tested positive for COVID-19. "Positive ho gaya, Dua karo (I’m positive. Please pray)," the actor shared on Instagram and Twitter.

Kartik has been shooting for his upcoming horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film also stars Tabu and Kiara Advani.

The film’s shoot has been delayed several times due to COVID-19. With Kartik testing positive, the shoot is likely to be halted again.

Apart from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik is also part of an upcoming thriller Dhamaka, which follows the story of a journalist who covers the live broadcast of a terror attack in Mumbai. The film is being directed by Ram Madhvani, who is known for Neerja and the web series Aarya.
