AR Rahman recently announced that his upcoming debut production venture 99 Songs will be releasing on April 16 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The Hindi album of the film was released last year to a good response online. Now, the two-time Academy Award winner has announced that the Tamil and Telugu versions of the album will release next week. 

The composer announced the news on Twitter as a reply to one of the fan's questions.

Directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, 99 Songs also marks AR Rahman's debut as a writer. Starring debutants Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas in the lead, the film is touted as a romantic musical. 

Manisha Koirala, Lisa Ray, Ranjit Barot, and Rahul Ram are other actors part of the upcoming film.
