Vijay Sethupathi-SP Jananathan's Laabam to be released in April

Vijay Sethupathi's Laabam, directed by the late SP Jananathan, will be released in April on a grand scale in both Tamil and Telugu. The announcement was made via a press release by the film's production house, 7C's Entertainment. 

It is mentioned in the press release that the late filmmaker has completed most of the work for the project and the rest will be done by his directorial team. The production house also called Laabam a 'crowning glory' in the director's filmography. 

Sharing the note, Vijay Sethupathi who has also co-produced the film, wrote, "Saddened by SP Jananathan sir's loss. Sir had completed most of the work for Laabam."

Also starring Shruti Haasan, Kalaiyarasan, Jagapathi Babu and Harish Uthaman, Laabam has music by D Imman and cinematography by Ramji. 

It may be noted that the trailer of the film was released on August 22, last year.
