The long-awaited superhero film of Tovino Thomas, Minnal Murali, will be hitting the screens on Onam this year. The announcement was made by the actor through his social media handles. Sharing a poster of himself in a superhero costume and a face mask, he announced that the film will be released on August 19.

Tovino plays a speedster in the film. Directed by Basil Joseph, Minnal Murali has Tamil actor Guru Somasundaram playing an important role, and it also stars Aju Varghese, Baiju, Harishree Ashokan, and Femina George.  

The Malayalam film will be getting dubbed into various languages like Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and English.

Minnal Murali marks the second collaboration of Tovino and Basil after Godha. Sophia Paul of Weekend Blockbusters is backing the project scripted by Arun AR and Justin Mathew.

The technical team of Minnal Murali includes Sameer Thahir (cinematography), Shaan Rahman (composer), Vlad Rimburg (stunt choreographer), Andrew D'Cruz (visual effects), and Livingston Mathew (editor). 

The digital streaming rights of the film has been bagged by Netflix.
