Priya Anand, who was last seen in Adithya Varma, will be playing the female lead in Prashanth's Andhagan, the Tamil remake of the Bollywood hit Andhadhun

The actor will be reprising Radika Apte's role from the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer. The announcement was made via a photo of Priya with Prashanth on the sets of the film.

Andhagan is directed and produced by Prashanth's father and actor Thiagarajan. The remake was originally supposed to be directed by Mohan Raja and then by JJ Fredrick, but both of them opted out of the project after a few months.

With cinematography by Ravi Yadhav and music by Santhosh Narayanan, Andhagan has Simran and Karthik playing the roles of Tabu and Anil Dhawan, respectively. It also stars KS Ravikumar, Urvashi, Leela Samson, Manobala, and Vanitha Vijayakumar.
