A video clip of Kamal Haasan performing silambam at a political event in Coimbatore has gone viral on social media. The actor-turned-politician was in the city for a political rally ahead of the state elections, and he seems to have been interacting with silambam players there.

Notably, Kamal is well-versed in the Tamil martial art, and had extensively rehearsed the craft for his 1992 rural drama, Devar Magan, a cult favourite of both critics and audiences alike.

On the work front, Kamal Haasan was last seen in Viswaroopam 2, which was released in 2018. The actor has two big projects in his kitty - Indian 2 and Vikram - which are expected to go on floors after the elections.
