Actor Yami Gautam has started shooting for A Thursday. Directed by Behzad Khambata, the thriller stars Yami as a playschool teacher who takes 16 toddlers hostage. Events go out of control and the public and media scrutiny tear her apart, questioning her sanity and possible reason for the heinous act.

A Thursday is produced by RSVP and Blue Monkey Films. Speaking about the film, Yami had earlier shared, “A Thursday is one of those rare scripts that come your way that you just cannot put down. Behzad has written one of the strongest characters for any female protagonist. Naina, who I will be essaying, is both fierce and endearing.”

Yami had featured in RSVP’s 2019 blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike. Her last release was Ginny Weds Sunny (2020), co-starring Vikrant Massey. She will next be seen in Bhoot Police and Dasvi, both of which are in production.
