Revised timings for Kerala theatres; Mammootty-starrer The Priest's release rescheduled

CE Features

Following the Malayalam film industry's appeal to allow second shows to draw crowds post-pandemic, the Kerala government has revised show timings to 12 pm to 12 am, after a detailed examination. The screenings earlier ran from 9 am to 9 pm.

The decision was made after taking into account the massive pandemic-induced setbacks for filmmakers and exhibitors.

Mammootty-starrer The Priest, which was earlier slated for a March 4 release, was postponed due to the absence of second shows.

The new decision has enabled the makers to reschedule it for March 11. The Priest will be the first Mammootty film released post-pandemic.
