Income tax raids at locations linked to Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu: reports

The Income Tax Department reportedly raided the premises of directors Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl, producer Madhu Mantena, and actor Taapsee Pannu today. IT officials are carrying out searches at nearly 20 locations in Mumbai and Pune. The raids are being conducted in connection to alleged tax evasion involving their former company Phantom Films, reports state. 

Phantom Films was founded by Madhu Mantena, Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, and Vikas Bahl in 2011. In 2015, Reliance Entertainment picked up a 50 per cent stake in the company. The company was dissolved in 2018 amid sexual harassment allegations against Vikas.
