The raids are being conducted in connection to alleged tax evasion involving their former company Phantom Films, reports state.

Phantom Films was founded by Madhu Mantena, Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, and Vikas Bahl in 2011. In 2015, Reliance Entertainment picked up a 50 per cent stake in the company. The company was dissolved in 2018 amid sexual harassment allegations against Vikas.
