Parineeti Chopra's Saina, a biopic on ace badminton player Saina Nehwal, will hit the screens on March 26.

Directed by Amol Gupte (Stanley Ka DabbaHawa Hawaai), Saina is produced by T-Series' Bhushan Kumar. T-Series' official Twitter handle announced the film's release date today.

The biopic was earlier supposed to be headlined by Shraddha Kapoor. However, the actor exited the project due to scheduling issues and Parineeti took over.

The film will star Manav Kaul as Saina's coach Pullela Gopichand while Paresh Rawal has been roped in for a pivotal role. Saina was initially set to release in September 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Notably, Parineeti just had a release last week, with The Girl on The Train premiering on Netflix. She also has Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, co-starring Arjun Kapoor, scheduled for theatrical release in March.
