The second single from Mari Selvaraj's Karnan, starring Dhanush, is here. Titled Pandarathi Puranam, the track is sung by 'Thenisai Thendral' Deva and Rita, with lyrics by Yugabharathi.

Karnan has music by Santhosh Narayanan, his second collaboration with Mari Selvaraj after the latter's debut film, Pariyerum Perumal.

The single was released today with a lyrical video that features montages from the making of the song.

Karnan is said to be based on a real incident that happened in an estate near Tirunelveli. 

The film, which will see Malayalam actor Rajisha Vijaya making her Tamil debut, also stars Lakshmipriya Chandramouli, Gouri Kishen, Lal, and Yogi Babu in important roles. It has cinematography by Theni Easwaran.

Bankrolled by Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations, Karnan is scheduled to hit theatres on April 9.
