Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah has been admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai. According to ANI, the actor has been diagnosed with a small pneumonia patch and will be discharged soon.

"Actor Naseeruddin Shah admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai after being diagnosed with a small pneumonia patch, will be discharged soon; confirms his wife and actor Ratna Pathak Shah," news agency ANI tweeted.

Naseeruddin Shah has acted in over 100 films in his career. Last year, following the demise of Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, rumours started circulating about Naseeruddin Shah's hospitalisation. They were promptly dismissed by his son Vivaan Shah.

"All well everyone! Baba's just fine. All the rumours about his health are fake. He's keeping well. Praying for Irfan Bhai and Chintu ji. Missing them a lot. Deepest condolences to their families. Our hearts go out to all of them. It's a devastating loss for all of us," Vivaan had tweeted.
