Thaman S has started work on the upcoming Chiranjeevi-starrer, tentatively titled Chiru 153. The ace composer took to Twitter to announce the commencement of music discussion sessions on Monday. While sharing photos with the film's director, Mohan Raja, Thaman wrote, "And here we start Chiru 153 with Mohan Raja. It’s time to show love to our beloved Megastar Chiranjeevi gaaru. And guys this is going to be super high stuff for sure!"

The film is reportedly a remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam blockbuster, Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Notably, this is the second time Thaman is scoring for Chiranjeevi, after Bruce Lee, in which the actor appeared in a special role. Moreover, the film marks filmmaker Mohan Raja's return to Telugu cinema after his directorial debut, Hanuman Junction, in 2001.

The rest of the cast and crew of the film currently kept under tight wraps. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi will be next seen in Koratala Siva directorial, Acharya, co-starring Ram Charan, Kajal Aggarwal, and Pooja Hegde. The film is yet to finish complete production.
