Late actor Irrfan Khan's son Babil is working on a new project with Ronnie Lahiri and Shoojit Sircar. Ronnie and Shoojit had worked with Irrfan on the 2015 film, Piku. The film was co-produced by their banner Rising Sun Films.

In an instagram post, Ronnie shared a glimpse of their project with Babil. The details of the venture will be unveiled soon.

"Honoured to take forward your legacy Irrfan sir.
Worked with a legend like you, And now Babil. 
If this is not Providence, what is?" he wrote.

Irrfan passed away on April 29 in 2020. He was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. He is survived by his wife Sutapa and sons Babil and Ayan.
