Ajay Devgn to remake Naandhi in Hindi

It has been announced that actor Ajay Devgn will be starring in the Hindi remake of the Telugu film, Naandhi. The original, starring Allari Naresh in the lead role, tells the story of a commoner who is wrongly accused of a crime and victimised by the judicial system. The film, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, released in February to warm critical and commercial response.

While the Telugu film was produced by Satish Vegesna, popular Telugu producer Dil Raju will be banking the remake in association with Ajay Devgn. Announcing the film on Twitter, Ajay wrote, "Time to share an important story with all! Dil Raju Productions and Ajay Devgn Ffilms are all set to produce the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit, Naandhi!"

Notably, Dil Raju is also banking the Hindi remakes of Jersey and HIT: The First Case.

It can be noted that Ajay Devgn will also be starring in the remakes of Kaithi and Dhrishyam 2. His upcoming releases include Suryavanshi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, SS Rajamouli's RRR, the sports drama MaidaanBhuj: The Pride of India, and the Disney+Hotstar series, Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, the remake of Luther.
