Dhanush-Selvaragavan's Naane Varuven shooting date announced

The film marks the fifth collaboration between the actor and director

The shooting of the forthcoming Dhanush-starrer, Naane Varuven, directed by Selvaraghavan, is set to commence on August 20, the director announced today. Selvaraghavan made the news official by sharing a picture of the film's team along with Dhanush on Twitter. Responding to Selvaraghavan's tweet, the film's music composer, Yuvan Shankar Raja, shared, "Working on the second song. Can't wait for you guys to hear it!"

Naane Varuven marks the fifth collaboration between Dhanush and Selvaraghavan after Thulluvadho IlamaiKaadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, and Mayakkam Enna. The film, which is being bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu through V Creations, has cinematography by Selvaraghavan's frequent collaborator, Arvind Krishna. Further details related to the cast and crew are currently under wraps.

Meanwhile, Dhanush's latest film, Jagame Thandhiram, premiered on Netflix last Friday. The Asuran-actor's upcoming releases include the Hindi film, Atrangi Re, an untitled film with Karthick Naren, and the action thriller, The Gray Man, directed by the Russo Brothers. Dhanush has also recently announced that he will be teaming up with his Karnan-director, Mari Selvaraj once again.
