Zee5, one of the prominent streaming services in South Asia, owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, has now been launched in the United States of America. Streaming service is already present in other countries like the UK and the Middle East. Now, with the new move, Zee5 is taking all of its content to the US, which has about 5.4 million South Asian diaspora audiences.

The launch event was held virtually. The event was hosted by Archana Anand, the Chief Business Officer of Zee5 Global, and presided over by actor Priyanka Chopra. The two discussed at length the new step of Zee5 in the American market, how it would help the Indian diaspora enjoy hyper-localized content and more.

The streaming service would provide about 130000+ hours of content including 1600+ TV shows, 3500+ movies, and 200+ Originals. It has content in about 18 languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, and more.

Speaking at the event Priyanka Chopra said, "The history of India and countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh are rich and goes back thousands and thousands of years. The amount of stories that we can tell the world is limitless. The possibilities are enormous, and I can see why Zee5 is doing this."

She added, "Whenever you are not home, you kind of crave for it. It would be extremely comforting for the South Asian diaspora to get hyper-localized content at their doorstep."

Alongside its entry into the US, Zee5 will also be launched in Cannada, which also hosts a huge population of Indians and Pakistanis.

Zee5 is all set to release some of the biggest releases from India like Salman Khan's Radhe and SS Rajamouli's RRR.
