Comedian Ziwe to develop comedy series The Nigerian Princess for Amazon

The show follows a twenty-something school grad who partners with a known grifter in a desperate bid to achieve the American Dream

Comedian, writer Ziwe will develop a new comedy series titled The Nigerian Princess for Amazon.

The series will follow Zoe, a 20-something school grad who, in a desperate bid to achieve the American Dream despite debilitated by student debt, partners with a known grifter. The two make an unlikely alliance, all while secretly plotting to scam each other.

Ziwe will serve as the writer and creator of the series, with Will Graham and Hailey Wierengo of Field Trip also executive producing. Wondaland Pictures will also executive produce.

As per reports, Amazon is yet to order the show to series.

Ziwe had recently launched the self-titled Showtime series Ziwe, which premiered in May.

She is known for her work in Desus & Mero, The Rundown with Robin Thede, Tooning Out the News, and Dickinson.
