Director Sreenu Vaitla's 2007 comedy entertainer, Dhee, is soon to have a sequel titled, D&D Double Dose. Vishnu Manchu, who played the protagonist in the original, will be reuniting with the director in the sequel that is expected to go on floors soon.

It has now come to light that Faria Abdullah, who made her acting debut with Jathi Ratnalu, has been approached to play the female lead in this entertainer. Even though Faria has received accolades for her portrayal as Chitti in the Naveen Polishetty starrer, she isn't rushing into things and is taking her time to choose strong content.

Both Vaitla and Vishnu are looking for a fresh face and chanced upon Faria for the female lead's role. They were impressed by her performance in Jathi Ratnalu and approached her. She is pleased with her role and the story of the film and felt it would be an ideal project after her debut film. She gave her nod, but is yet to sign the dotted line, says a source close to the development.

Produced by 24 Frames Factory, D&D Double Dose also has Peter Hein, Saagar Mahathi and MR Varma among the crew.
