With lockdown 2.0 being relaxed in Telangana, the Telugu film industry is slowly getting back to work. The latest update is that the final schedule of Maestro has begun on Monday, and actors Nithiin and Tamannaah Bhatia have joined the sets. Incidentally, it is the second film after Santosh Sobhan's untitled project to resume shooting after the resurgence of the Covid-19. Grapevine is that several other filmmakers are also contemplating following the suit in a week or two.

"The team has filmed crucial sequences on Nithiin and Tamannah and despite the lockdown restrictions, director Merlapaka Gandhi has handled the team well on the first day. The makers are determined to complete the balance portions by the month-end and will finalise the release date," confides a source in the know.

A remake of Hindi black comedy-thriller, Andhadhun (2018), the film also features Nabha Natesh, Jisshu Sengupta, and Naresh VK in pivotal roles. The first look poster of the film along with the title was released by the makers on the 38th birthday of Nithiin.

Produced by Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy, Maestro has music by Saagar Mahathi.
