Comedian Yogi Babu will be a part of the upcoming Vijay-starrer, tentatively titled Thalapathy 65, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The ace comedian, who was recently seen in Sulthan and Karnan, confirmed his involvement during a recent social media interaction. Responding to a fan's question about his inclusion in the project, Yogi replied, "Yes pa."

The film will be the fifth time Yogi will be acting alongside Vijay after VelayudhamMersal, Sarkar, and Bigil. Likewise, Thalapathy 65 marks the third collaboration between the comedian and filmmaker Nelson after the Nayanthara-starrer Kolamavu Kokila in 2018 and the yet-to-be-released Doctor, headlined by Sivakarthikeyan.

Thalapathy 65, which features Pooja Hegde as the female lead, also marks the Tamil debut of Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko. The film also stars Bigg Boss-fame Kavin and Aparna Das. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the film has music by Anirudh and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa.

Meanwhile, Yogi Babu has scores of films in his pipeline, including Sundar C's Aranmanai 3, Santhanam-starrer Dikkiloona, Manikandan-directorial Kadaisi Vivasayi, and another Sivakarthikeyan-starrer, Ayalaan.
