Actor Chrissy Teigen has exited Netflix's Never Have I Ever amidst the online bullying controversy. Last month, model and reality TV personality Courtney Stodden had accused Teigen of cyberbullying.

Teigen was added to the cast for a planned voice role in the first episode of the upcoming season 2.

Mindy Kaling's coming-of-age series revolves around a first-generation Indian American teenage girl, who navigates high school life while dealing with the loss of her father. The series also features voice-over narration for guest roles.

In an interview with Daily Beast, Stodden accused Teigen of harassing her a decade ago when she married actor Doug Hutchison. Reports state that Teigen sent direct messages to Stodden and Hutchison. On May 12, Teigen took to Twitter to publicly apologize to Stodden and to call herself accountable.

“Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bulls — in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention-seeking troll,” Teigen wrote in the post.

Universal Television's Never Have I Ever is created by Mindy Kaling with Lang Fisher, who is executive producer and showrunner. Kaling also executive produces with 3 Arts Entertainment’s Howard Klein and David Miner.
