Smart Guy sitcom reboot on cards

Disney '90s sitcom Smart Guy is getting a reboot and the plans are happening currently for it. The sitcom produced by Disney initially ran on the Warner Bros. channel from 1997 to 1999. Tahj Mowry, brother of Sister, Sister's Tia and Tamera Mowry, starred in Smart Guy as TJ Henderson, a quirky, 10-year-old genius who got jumped grades throughout his schooling and reached high school. The series also starred John Marshall Jones, Jason Weaver, Essence Atkins, and Omar Gooding.

Tahj Mowry confirmed broke the news very recently that there is a reboot in development. Mowry shared that it is in the very early stages of planning, and he has been talking to the creative team via video calls to plan the project. Mowry hopes that the reboot will appeal to its original fans while adding new elements for the fresh set of viewers. Mowry has also expressed his wish to bring back the entire original cast, there is no concrete word about it happening. The new edition will reportedly focus on how TJ has managed to explore the world as an adult.

The Smart Guy reboot could be premiered on HBO Max, Disney+, or Paramount+.
